Building Blocks to get more features in 2.0

Building Blocks is a free wordpress theme template I created to be used as a starting point for custom theme development.

It provides a basic structure and styling of a wordpress theme that usually takes several hours to build if you choose to start from scratch. Currently Building Blocks is especially well suited for blogs and other simple sites. However, with the next point release, there will be many new features added that will make it a terrific starting point for even large, complex sites that need a lot of features.

New Features

In the next release, Building Blocks will include:

• Multiple widgetized areas, including sidebars, after/before post/page content, footer content, and header content
• Custom post taxonomy templates
• Theme options panel
