Plugins, Wordpress16 comments

The new version of my premium WordPress Font Uploader plugin will be available anytime over at Code Canyon.net.

This new version includes some really cool updates.

Feature Updates

  • Full support for Google Fonts, available from http://code.google.com/webfonts
  • Lots of efficiency updates. The new version outputs much less unnecessary code.

The Google Font capability provides full 100% cross browser support, including Internet Explorer. With this update, you will be able to display your custom fonts to ALL users.

Check out the screencast below for a demo of this update.

I got premium version 1.6 of this plugin from codecanyon and it didnt work with IE. I tried to leave all fields empty but IE options. Im using tahoma ttf font.

    Please advice.

  2. Make sure that you follow the directions in the ReadMe, there are specific steps you must take in order for your fonts to display in IE.

If they still don’t work after that, let me know.

    Hello Pippin,
I am well chuffed with your pluggin, its super. I downloaded licence a while ago but now wish to use it on multiple sites. Is there a way to upgrade to the licence rather than buying a whole new one?

  5. @Magpie – Sorry, there is no upgrade license. You need to purchase one license for each time you use it.

  6. Magpie says:

Ok , thanks Pippin, will do. Excellent plugin.

    Hello Pippin,
i installed your plugin but there is no way to make it work. The plugin is active but when i try to upload a .ttf from the admin page the page becomes blank. If i check the plugin fonts folder via ftp the file is right there but there are no fonts in the “choose font” section for headers, etc..in wordpress. What could be the problem?
    Thank you!

  8. @diego – are you using the free or premium version? It could be related to permissions. Try changing the fonts directory to 755, or 777 if that doesn’t work.

  9. diego says:

I am using the free version and i am getting the damn CHMOD 550 precisely here, so i guess my problem is not about the plugin. I´ve been using WordPress for months without any problem when changing permissions so i´ll search about it.
    Thanks anyway, you were fast!

I don´t know if it was via cPanel or what but i finally changed permissions to every folder/file of the plugin (sorry about the off topic).
But still no fonts appear on the admin panel after uploading and giving permissions. :(

  11. @diego – What did you change the permissions to? They should be 755, and if that doesn’t work, 777. Just for the fonts folder inside of font-uploader

  12. Great Product! I’m helping a friend with his company website (no money is exchanging hands) and I recommended your WordPress Font Uploader plug-in. I’ll be doing the install and so am happy to buy, download and install it via CodeCanyon but I want him to be the owner and also want to register it in his name. Is this possible? Many thanks

  13. Lloyd, you will have to have your client signup for an account on Code Canyon if you want them to be the license holder.

    Pippin,

I just installed the premium version of the font uploader on my site. The free version was working great, but I wanted the IE upgrade. I am now having a problem with the font. Like the post above, when I try to upload the .ttf file it sends me to a blank page. Please help!

  15. Have you tried changing the permissions of the fonts/ directory? Use an FTP client and change the fonts/ folder inside of the font-uploader/ folder to 755. If that doesn’t work, then try 777.

If you don’t know how to change permissions, let me know.
